🌍English Version
Amazon Conquest: The Expedition Route (Day 1 – Departure from Manaus)
(Virtual Expedition Journal)
This is a virtual expedition, a simulated journey inspired by real geography, culture, and local experience. It is not a firsthand account, but an imaginative recreation based on research and field reports.
Day 1: Gateway to the Tropics – Manaus
The journey begins in Manaus, Brazil.
The air is thick and heavy, scented with tropical fruit.
At the riverside market, I buy an icy cup of açaí juice — a sweet relief before the unknown.
Ahead lies the Amazon River, a road of water that stretches beyond sight.
Morning: Preparation and Essential Gear
Five explorers, one goal — to conquer the Amazon.
Essential Items:
- Survival knife
- Water purification tablets
- Insect repellent
- Solar-powered lamp
- GPS and paper map
- Drone camera
- Dried food (rice, beans, salted meat)
As we load our waterproof packs, the city fades behind us.
The engine roars, and we glide into a realm ruled only by nature.
Afternoon: Drifting with the Current
The river widens. Birds flash above, fish leap from the surface.
Lunch is modest — salted meat and rehydrated rice cooked over a small stove.
We trade with a local fisherman for two valuable items: pimenta spice and dried fish.
Items Acquired:
- Pimenta (local spice)
- Dried river fish
A taste that will later define our days in the jungle.
Night: The First Camp
We anchor at a sandy bank and build our first campfire.
Dinner: bean soup with dried fish, a touch of pimenta, and strong instant coffee.
The stars stretch endlessly above, and the river hums softly below.
Our laughter blends with the sounds of the forest — this is the first night of the conquest.

Day 2 – Into the tributaries, the first steps into the unknown wetlands.
